Most popular slide formats and a wide variety of 35mm film negatives can be scanned at a very high resolution to produce a digital image that can be viewed at home on a TV, computer or iPad or shared on social media, as well as being ideal for adding to a slideshow or photobook.

The slides and negatives are very carefully cleaned before scanning and we will digitally remove any dust spots and scratches wherever possible. The colour and sharpness of old slides and negatives is known to fade over time due to the dyes used in the original development process. We will restore as much of the colour and sharpness as possible and ensure the highest quality result every time.

Slide Scanning
Slides in many popular formats can be scanned and digitised. Usually these slides are in a 2" mount or frame which will typically be card or plastic.
The slides will usually be colour but may be black and white. The typical film used for these slides is Kodachrome, Ektachrome or Agfacolor to name just a few.

All slides will be scanned at a resolution of 3200dpi and the files saved in JPEG format.

In addition to the more common 35mm format, we can also scan other formats including 110, half frame, 126 and 127.

Negative Scanning
We can scan most 35mm film negatives.
These will normally be colour or black and white negatives but can also be colour positives.
Typically these will be in strips of 4 or 6 developed negatives.
All 35mm negatives will be scanned at a resolution of 3200dpi and the files saved in JPEG format.
